Knit Your Bit Scarves for Veterans Project
We wholeheartedly support the "Knit Your Bit" project of the National WWII Museum in New Orleans, which provides hand knit and crocheted scarves to U.S. Veterans. You can find out more about this project at http://www.nationalww2museum.org/learn/knit-your-bit/
We will be accepting scarf donations at the shop to send to the museum, and for every scarf that you bring in before November 11, 2017 we will give you a $5 store credit. |
Please note that every scarf should have a tag attached with your name and address, as well as fiber content and washing and care instructions. We will have tags available in the shop for you to fill out, or you can make your own. |
The only other requirement is that the scarf should be in a neutral color suitable for either a man or a woman. If you aren't sure what sort of pattern to use, you can find a number of knit and crochet patterns at the Museum website. |
